Being Passed Between Retailers or Manufacturers With No Clear Answer

A familiar experience for many people is being redirected repeatedly:

  • “That’s not our responsibility”

  • “You need to contact someone else”

  • “We only deal with part of that issue”

  • "You will have to go back to the makers of that product to resolve that:

This happens frequently with councils, housing providers, , public services and retailers.


Often, responsibility does exist — but it is fragmented, poorly explained, or misunderstood.


Understanding which organisation is responsible for which part of a problem can reduce stress and prevent unnecessary back-and-forth.


Passing the buck doesn’t solve the issue immediately, but being told your rights restores control.
