When a Delivery Is Marked “Delivered” — But You Never Received It

Many people experience the same situation:
A delivery is marked as “left in a safe place” or “delivered”, but nothing arrives.
What often follows is confusion.
The courier blames the retailer.
The retailer blames the courier.
The customer is left stuck in the middle.

In reality, responsibility does not disappear just because a parcel is marked delivered.
Consumer law places obligations on sellers to ensure goods arrive with the customer — not just that they were handed to a driver.
Understanding where responsibility lies, what evidence matters, and how complaints should be handled can make the difference between resolution and frustration.
GB2GB National Community Advice exists to help people understand situations like this calmly and clearly, before problems escalate.
